Vessel Positions / Extended Vessel Data

Returns the latest position and voyage status from any vessel in the FleetMon Vessel Database in XML or JSON format.

Version 2.4.2

About the API

You need to know the current location of a vessel – whether it is located in a port or on the high seas, is on time or en route? Then this efficient API is a perfect match for your needs. Integrated in your applications, the API seamlessly returns the latest position and voyage status of any vessel in the extensive FleetMon Vessel Database in a machine-readable XML or JSON format.

The API returns static vessel particulars like name and type of ship and also delivers other relevant information such as the last port information including time of departure, LOCODE and name of the last visited port as well as important navigational information like the most recent position, the voyage states (pre-voyage, underway, docked), and current speed. Optionally, the API can include a port call log of the past 14 days. The API supports searches by IMO and MMSI number as well as by vessel name. As an additional feature, the latest port calls of a vessel can be added, including the actual time of arrival and departure.

This API is available with our FleetMon Credit Point System. Check out our documentation to see the details of a request, and a sample response to see what you get with this API. If you need data that is updated more frequently, please do not hesitate to contact our sales team!
